This commissioned piece was for a Birthday gift which was then printed onto a cake! By all accounts the client seemed to love it!!

A 40th Birthday Gift

I was recently asked by my Sister to come up with a gift for her best-friend Jo who was going to be celebrating her 40th Birthday! It was quite short notice as I only had 3 weeks to produce something! I must admit I struggled with it for a while then, once I'd got the features and expression right (using a photo for reference) and a theme to base it around I was quite pleased with the result. So was the recipient of the piece and I gather the image also ended up on a cake too!

Ice Bucket Challenge: Response!

I know this is not artwork or animation but in order for me to post my ALS Ice bucket challenge response onto facebook, I thought I'd use my blog!!! Good thinking as facebook was not having any of it? Something to do with "parameters being bad" or something!?
I'm wearing a West Ham shirt and shorts because an alarming picture of my Niece in an Arsenal kit was posted on said site!! Also I was nominated to take part in the Ice bucket challenge by my Niece!! So I in turn nominated my friends, Harvey King, Darren Houseden and Darren Swain, who now have 24 hrs to complete the challenge!

Gift For Teacher

Pencil Drawing

I thought it was about time I worked on my drawing techniques! The image is loosely based on a character from BBC drama series, The Musketeers, one of the many attractive ladies amongst the cast whose name is Constance in the show. I have spent many hours drawing and re-drawing that my desk is covered in eraser shavings! I particularly wanted to practice my shading and found that by working with various B,H and F pencils I could get some good depth!   

BAZINGA!!!

A quick pencil sketch, might work on it at some point! I love Big Bang Theory and the characters in the show particularly Sheldon Cooper, the know- it- all who has an answer for practically everything! The ultimate geek with a love for SCI-FI and Comic Books!!

New Year...... New Pic!

Happy New Year!!!
Here is a picture that I created in pencil and then finished in Photoshop. Commissioned for my Sister's work colleague for a leaving gift, armed with the information supplied I produced it from start to finish in around four days! Not too bad considering I hadn't done one in a while!
